At Mkango, we are committed to conserving and improving our corporate performance through diligent environmental management and innovative project design.

Mkango recognises that sound corporate governance and transparency are expectations of its stakeholders and enable confidence in the credibility of its business conduct. The Board of Directors has established a Sustainability Committee, the primary function of which is to assist the Board in the oversight of Mkango’s commitments to work in a socially and environmentally responsible manner, to maintain stakeholder dialogue to ensure social best practice, to ensure workplace safety and health, environmentally sound and responsible resource development, and the protection of human rights.

Board committee charters are periodically reviewed, in line with the Company’s approach to sound corporate governance, to ensure they reflect evolving corporate needs as well as external developments related to effective management. The UK facilities utilised by HyProMag UK are additionally managed under a framework of policies and systems established by the University of Birmingham at Tyseley.
