Mkango’s Sustainability Committee Charter incorporates the commitments to work in an environmentally responsible manner ‒ ensuring responsible resource and project development.

The Pforzheim plant operates under approvals including approval under the 4th Federal Immission Control Ordinance, and the Bitterfeld plant acquired with the Remloy business on 28 August 2026 is a third operating site within the group.

As Mkango has commenced commercial production of recycled rare earth products, process optimisation will increasingly inform strategy on how best to support the objectives of the Paris Agreement through the lifetime of its assets. The Company has completed processes to understand the relative carbon footprint of its recycled rare earths products with HyProMag USA having engaged Minviro to undertake a product carbon footprint analysis and HyProMag UK and HyProMag Germany having similarly completed internal analyses. These analyses demonstrate a 95% reduction in CO2 emissions relative to the globally dominant primary production route.
